Invisalign

Historically, problems such as overcrowding and misalignment had to be corrected with metal braces. For decades, traditional orthodontia could be seen throughout the halls of just about every junior high and high school across the country, and here is where the apprehension about orthodontic treatment developed. Today, older teens and adults would prefer to correct orthodontic issues without the telltale look of braces. Invisalign makes this possible. Nine out of ten people seeking orthodontic treatment are good candidates for Invisalign.

The Difference in Our Approach to Invisalign

Many dentists in our area offer Invisalign. What our patients appreciate is the extensive knowledge that forms the basis of the care in our practice. Dr. Moeckel is Invisalign certified. The time she takes with each of our patients ensures that questions are answered and the decision to commence with treatment is made with confidence.

Once you and Dr. Moeckel have determined that Invisalign is appropriate for your needs, a thorough examination will be performed to assess your oral health. X-rays and intra-oral photos may be taken, as well. The information collected is scanned into a software program that designs individual trays to see you through to a healthier, more attractive smile. Before any aligners are made, you will be able to preview your final results in an animated video. Only after you approve treatment are your aligners ordered from the Invisalign laboratory.

Invisalign: A Comfortable Path Toward Your Best Smile

There are numerous reasons that Invisalign is one of the most popular orthodontic methods today. Though this system is based on proven orthodontic principles, the process of repositioning teeth is entirely different, relying on clear, plastic aligners rather than metal fixtures to achieve a predictable outcome.

Benefits of Invisalign

  • Barely-there aligners fit against your teeth, preserving your natural appearance.
  • Thin plastic does not affect speech.
  • Custom-formed aligners have no sharp edges to catch on cheeks or lips.
  • Eat what you like—Invisalign aligners are removable!
  • Oral health is easier to maintain without obstacles like brackets and wires.
  • Meticulous planning and fabrication make Invisalign an efficient orthodontic method.
  • Invisalign can treat sleep apnea.
